200cm Norwegian Metal-Edge Backcountry Skis - Sold by Sverre Østbye, Oslo NO. Solid Wood!We reckon these skis hail from the 1940s or so. Sverre stbye was a Norwegian ski jumper and later a maker and seller of ski products. This pair has metal edges, but it is narrow enough to be considered a "backcountry" ski. The bindings have been cobbled together over the years and parts have been lost the astute observer will notice the Tempo foot plates and the very early Kandahar front clamps, indicating that during these skis' last period of use

it is vintage-styled in a manner that was popular in the 1930s

from one of the big Norwegian wood ski manufacturers from "back in the day"
