Teramasa・寺正・Tamahagane KamisoriA wonderful Tamahagane Teramasa Kamisori. We removed light surface rust, rehoned the Omote and sharpened it with the usual Nagura progression and stropped it on 0. 5 micron Diamond Edge and on Japanese Cordovan.

We use a traditional wrapping technique that is very common for Kamisori

A vintage Taisho (pre-war)-period kamisori crafted by Yamamasa 山正(Yamada Denzaburo)

Handmade in small batches using a tallow-based formula enriched with olive oil

Some spots remain where we removed light surface rust

it was still in good shape so we kept it and only removed surface rust and sharpened it

expertly restored to hair-popping sharpness and shave-ready perfection

The box is handcrafted by us out of imported Japanese Hinoki wood

Kamisori are not only used to remove mens beards

Kidomaru is a famous Oni (a demon like creature) from Japanese folk tales

We also added a Rattan handle wrapping and lacquered it with Urushi
