2013 Demarie Barbaresco Riserva, Piedmont, ItalyABOUT THIS WINE The Nebbiolo for this Barbaresco comes from the Neive vineyard from old vines planted in the 1960s. Aging is traditional, featuring long fermentation and maceration to maximize the wine's rich character and firm tannins. Aged for two years in Slavonian oak, this wine develops a translucent tawny shade and presents an intense, ethereal bouquet. Wine goes through gentle fining before being bottles. Can age up to 20 years after harvest.
