Gingko leaf butterfly pendant, handmade eco friendly fine silver and sapphire pendant necklace-OOAK #5 in the seriesThis is the 5th in my gingko leaf butterfly series of pendants. It features a unique gingko leaf shape studded with natural Songea sapphires in a yellow shade, with one of them being a little more orange. It is made from recycled fine (. 999) pure silver. Both the pendant and the chain have been given an antique patina. I bushed off most of the patina on the butterfly and left it with a satin finish. Hung on an oxidized 18 inch diamond bead cut

The shield shaped opal has flashes of orange red and green

I wrapped the gems with 14k gold filled wire

The floral posts are made by pressing the silver into antique bronze molds from India

These Envy Designs signature style earrings are 2 2/8 inches long or 88mm x 25mm

The link has a stippled texture on the back side and it measures 37mm x 14mm

I gave the leaves a patina then buffed out for detail and then added the hand wrapped garnets and vesuvianite leaves

The pearl is 20 mm x 12 mm

and buffed up to a high shine

for a lovely contrast

the back side of the wing also features a floral texture

A deep peachy red schiller in a sparkly basket cut

The garnets change from a golden color in natural light to a pinker blush shade indoors
