I suspect this depiction of the monument came from what I like to call a “travel album

then the shelf portion folds down

It opens via simple screws at the front

These delicately pierced cards are known as a canivets

They display beautifully anywhere in your home or garden- trust

& the person I got this from said it worked

Memorial assemblages could include casket ornaments like plates or handles

This cruet set dates to the last quarter of the 19th century

or possibly a fraternal ritual
